To Freakish over at Unreal Playground for the very civilized review of my awful first map, CTF-Circles. Probably helped keep me interested in mapping. To Sabbathcat for the impetus to make this map. To Hourences for setting me straight on exporting and importing. For some plant smeshes and textures from his DM-Sae. And for general inspiration from his work. To the Beta Testing crew over at Unreal Playground who you can blame for anything wrong with this map. ;) To my grandma and grandpa for the love and guidance. To Epic of course! And to the 3SPN crew for bringing TAM to life. I didn't play much DM style until that mod. Store the file, DM-Antediluvian.ut2 in your \UT2004\Maps\ directory along with the others (see guide below), then either doubleclick on it, or type open Antediluvian in the console, or select the Map in a Botmatch or an Internet game. Guide: .unr and .ut2 files go in Maps\ .utx files go in Textures\ .umx and .ogg files go in Music\ .uax files go in Sounds\ .u, .int, and .ini files go in System\ .usx files go in staticmeshes\ .ukx files go in animations\ .ka files go in karma\ *.upx files go in prefabs\ ============================================================ Extended Description -------------------- Before the flood... ============================================================ Author's Notes -------------- This is my first try at cave mapping and vertex colors. To me it's pretty obvious it's a bunch of extruded cubes with the vertices averaged a bit and then smoothed down, but since not many people do this type of map I guess it's worth releasing. The layout and gameplay have been favorably commented so here it is. Hopefully I'll make something visually more interesting next time around. The walls are all too smooth imo. If you want to use anything in this map in any of your projects feel free to do so. No need to email for permission. Although I would be interested in hearing about it if you did.
