Seriously well made map, with twisting corridors for close-range firefights and the killing spree/suicidal main open arena. Excellent map - highly recommended smile

Well made, clean and consdering I play offline the bots play very well indeed. My only gripe is the size of the open area in the middle. If this structure was around the same size as that from, say, Ben Hur then this would be excellent.

This map is actually true real-world scale, where 1 foot = 16 UUs.
Because of UT's FOV and Camera setup, maps look small at real-world size and most UT maps are therefore created at 1.5x to 2x real-world to compensate (but the effect of that may make you feel like your eyes are in your knees). Jason chose to leave this map real-world instead.

this maps is going to be one of the most used maps if you made it a year age you might of be able to enter the unreal contest and thats aq winning peace

Sweet! lol If my UT 2004 worked, I'd've downloaded this and added lots of bots. Then it would really be chaos! big grin Chaos UT mod would work with this great. With the swords and stuff. stick out tongue

This was a cool concept but poorly designed and developed. A beginner made this obviously. It lacks substance, atmosphere, and depth. It is plain and boring. For starters the weapons should have been placed in another level below the arena floor rather than in the hallways. Health, double Damage, ammo, and Shield power ups should have been placed inside middle of the arena . The doorways where the gladiators would enter were modeled but the elevators witch rose up to them were not. The modelling and textures are quite plain and boring. The chain link fence surrounding the outside looked very out of place. There should have been statues of Conquerors, Gods, and Gladiators. There were no legionary standards or symbols of state. When using bots a majority of the fighting takes place is the halls outside the arena. Thats just wrong.

I agree with Toradin about the weapon placements and textures, but the map is good fun in RPG Invasion or using the Stakeout mutator.

Particularly the Stakeout mutator actually, with melee weapons and enough bots it's good for a few thrills. (Hint, throwing an enemy's corpse across the arena)
